In this position you will be part of a team that is responsible for providing the data platform as well as a hybrid GitHub environment for the company. The team consists of mixture of specialists (Data Architects/Engineers/Scientists, Cloud Security Engineer) and plays a vital part in the company's digitalization ambitions.
Your time allocation in this position will look roughly like this:
- 40% Data Platform Operations (Design, deploy, review, and monitor cloud infrastructure for the data platform)
- 30% GitHub Operations (Manage hybrid setup, user & access management)
- 20% Management of Development Environments (On-prem & Container based in the cloud)
- 10% Mentoring and training different stakeholders (business users, apprentices, interns, …)
- Administrative tasks (Team meetings, Company events, …)
This is how you make a difference
For this role, we are looking for a team-minded, proactive maker with a good sense of humor. Your duties will require the following skills, so ideally you would already have them, but obviously there will be time to catch up on missing ones:
- Good practices with software engineering disciplines (e.g., CI/CD (GitHub actions), Container/Kubernetes/Docker, Infrastructure as Code (terraform), …)
- Be able to design, analyze, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud-based systems (pref. Microsoft Azure & Databricks)
- Experience with the GitHub ecosystem or similar (Repos, Actions, Packages, …)
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Go, C#, …)
- Knowledge of Linux systems and shell scripting
- Be proficient with the English & German language
